Join us for an opportunity to visit the goats and be among the first to see the newly released cookbook: Simply Good Chèvre. The magazine is also a delicious guide to all licensed goat dairy farms in Maine. Thanks to a generous Multi-Business Dairy Agritourism Grant in Connection with the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center, each of the 52 licensed goat dairies in Maine will be invited to opt in to receive free copies. Each farm who sells the magazine, will earn $15 per unit that they will commit to use to further develop agritourism opportunities. Beyond the free advertising of Maine Dairies, this will result in $52,500 directly to farmers and those that support them. The entire project is a result of volunteers who chipped in their talent to make it possible -- a wonderful celebration of the collaborative support that makes a thriving agricultural landscape possible in Maine.

If you are a Maine dairy farm or purchase Maine goat cheese for your business feel free to take home 1-2 boxes to sell at your farm stand, shop or farmer's market. Can you get some to another Maine goat farm who would love to sell them? Please feel free to bring them to other cheesemakers who can not attend the Hoppy Hour! All others in attendance are welcome to buy the first copies hot off the press for $15 a magazine.
